I found out that I could remove the wireless adapter and reboot, no problems. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver.
Bear in mind that we do not recommend you install this release on OSes other than the specified ones even though other platforms might also be suitable.
With it off there are no problems.

I have a satellite P30 with the same problem.
This sounded to me like a driver issue or a conflict with system resources.
